How We Review Tools

A free submission still goes through review. We want the directory to help people understand and compare online tools — not simply become as large as possible.

Is it a real, usable product?

We look for an active software product, web app or online utility with a clear purpose and a public website where people can learn more or sign up.

Can we explain what it actually does?

A useful profile should answer basic questions quickly: what the tool does, who it is for, who runs it, how pricing works, what platforms it supports and where it fits compared with alternatives.

Would the profile add something useful?

We prioritise products that are specific enough to help someone make a decision. We may decline duplicates, unfinished projects, misleading products, spam-focused submissions or pages with too little information to assess.

What happens after publication?

Signed-in visitors can upvote, rate, review and follow tools. Community feedback and recent activity can help useful products become easier to discover over time. We may remove manipulated ratings, spam or abusive content.

What about paid featuring?

Eligible tools can pay for clearly labelled extra visibility. Payment does not buy editorial approval, a positive review or a better community rating.
