What does Hannun do?
I’m the maker of Hannun, an offline file and document search app for Windows. It searches filenames and supported document text in folders you choose, then shows matching passages and previews where supported. The free edition searches PDF, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, and text/code content in up to 5,000 recently modified eligible documents. Pro removes that document-count limit and adds RTF, OpenDocument, EPUB, and EML search. Coverage depends on selected folders, Windows permissions and indexing progress. Scanned-image PDFs need OCR, which isn’t included; encrypted documents aren’t supported. Search runs locally without an in-app account, ads or telemetry; Pro checkout opens a browser. Optional Pro is US$29 once per PC with 12 months of updates. The installer is unsigned, so Windows may show “Windows protected your PC”; choose More info → Run anyway only if you intend to install it.
Who should use Hannun?
Windows users who need to find files by name or inside supported documents. are the clearest fit based on how the product is positioned.
