What does Key Changer do?
Key Changer is a desktop Chrome extension for shifting browser audio into a more comfortable practice key while leaving tempo unchanged. It works on supported sites including YouTube, Spotify Web and SoundCloud, with pitch control from -12 to +12 semitones plus -50 to +50 cents in 1-cent steps. Keep vocals natural helps preserve vocal timbre, and per-song settings and keyboard shortcuts are available. Built around my custom WebAssembly pitch engine, Key Changer is currently free during early access. It is intended for singers, karaoke practice, instrumentalists and music teachers adapting browser playback.
