What does MacClean do?
I’m the developer of MacClean, a native Mac storage utility. Storage Map helps you find large folders, and duplicate-file results let you inspect matches before selecting unwanted copies.
All features in version 1.6 are free for personal and internal business use, without a trial or activation. Its source is public under MacClean Community License 1.0. Selling copies or distributing the code in paid products requires a separate commercial agreement; this is source-available software, not OSI-approved open source.
Requires macOS 14 or later on Apple silicon or Intel. It is not Apple notarized yet; first-launch instructions are on the official download page. Ordinary cleanup moves files to Trash, where they still occupy space until emptied. Keep backups of important files. Emptying Trash, Docker cleanup and local snapshot deletion cannot be undone through Cleanup History.
Who should use MacClean?
Mac users reviewing large folders and unwanted file copies are the clearest fit based on how the product is positioned.
