About the product

What does pic2svg do?

pic2svg turns raster images — JPG, PNG, WEBP, TIFF, BMP, GIF, ICO — into genuine vector paths instead of a bitmap wrapped in an . Drop an image and it runs a five-step deterministic trace: normalise to RGB, downsample with LANCZOS, detect mode, trace, then export on request. A single trace yields five outputs: SVG for the web, PDF for print, EPS and AI for Illustrator, and DXF for AutoCAD and CNC/laser workflows. Because the paths are real fills, the result stays editable in Illustrator, Figma, or Inkscape. It is a hosted, server-side tool: the image is posted to api.pic2svg.com and traced by the engine serving the app, and no third-party vectorizer ever sees it; a self-hosted install keeps every file on your own machine. Free tier available, with paid plans for higher volume.
