What does remotify-mcp do?
remotify-mcp is a free, open-source MCP server that lets AI coding assistants run shell commands on a remote computer through an HTTP relay. It runs locally over stdio and works with Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, Gemini CLI and other MCP-compatible clients.
On the remote computer, an operator starts a listener using curl and bash, without SSH. In supervised mode, the operator approves each command before it runs. Automatic execution is optional.
The server provides three tools: remote_exec, remote_session_info and remote_session_reset. It is licensed under Apache-2.0, and the relay can be self-hosted.
