What does TextLantern do?
TextLantern is a Discord translator for you and your server. Translate any message privately from its Apps menu, write replies in another language with /t, or auto-translate channels between two main languages. 92 languages, no Administrator permission, one-time packs that never expire. 300 characters free.
For you: right-click a message on Discord desktop, open Apps and choose Translate privately – only you see the result. Type /t to write a reply in your language, pick the target language, check it, then copy and send it yourself (TextLantern never sends messages for you). /language sets your default language.
For your server: choose a channel and two main languages (e.g. English Japanese); recognized messages in either language are translated into the other, as a reply or in a thread. Add extra reader languages up to 8 per channel, automatic or on request. Setup happens in the web app at app.textlantern.com and needs Manage Server; the bot does not need Administrator.
Pricing: one-time 300-character free trial for eligible accounts; paid packs are one-time purchases (Starter $8.99, Community $17.99, Growth $35.99), characters never expire, no subscription or overage charges. TextLantern keeps no permanent message archive and does not train on message content.
