What does Virtual Ride do?
Virtual Ride is a browser app for indoor cycling on real Google Street View roads. You connect a Bluetooth smart trainer, pick a road anywhere Street View covers, and ride it from home while your own effort sets the pace. It’s a nice change from game maps if you’d rather see actual towns, coastlines and mountain passes over the winter. A few demo rides are open at virtualride.app/rides, and there’s a 7-day trial on the web. Built by Otter Media, a small studio in Finland.
Who should use Virtual Ride?
Cyclists and triathletes who train indoors on a smart trainer are the clearest fit based on how the product is positioned.
