What does DisplayCheck do?
DisplayCheck is a free online toolkit for inspecting monitors, laptops, tablets, and other browser-equipped screens. It provides fullscreen tests for dead, stuck, or bright pixels; OLED image retention and burn-in; brightness and color uniformity; gradients and clipping; browser refresh cadence; and motion ghosting. A guided five-minute check helps users inspect an unfamiliar display, while individual tests include clear instructions on what to look for.
The core tests require no account or download, and test patterns and observations stay in the browser with no test result upload. Clean fullscreen patterns make it easy to compare display settings and identify visible issues. DisplayCheck also explains the limits of browser-based testing: visual checks and browser timing estimates do not replace laboratory measurements of color accuracy, brightness, or physical panel response time.
