What does DoneCove Subtitles do?
DoneCove works with existing UTF-8 SRT subtitles. Its cloud workbench supports language selection, scene context, a glossary, cue-by-cue editing and saved corrections that can be locked before retranslation. Exports retain original cue numbers and timestamps and can contain translated-only or bilingual text. Translation requires sign-in; each account has one limited free trial of up to 30 cues and 1,200 source characters.
The website also provides free local SRT structure checking and a constant time-offset tool without sign-in. A downloadable nine-file SRT QA sample pack includes expected checker results, a machine-readable manifest and checksums. The quality and method page explains what each published example demonstrates.
This product handles subtitle files; it does not transcribe audio or video, extract captions, or burn subtitles into video. Translation quality, readability and synchronization still require review with the actual source and video.
